Global Disenchantment: The Wilberforce Society Conference at St Johns

Saturday 4th February
Palmerston Room

Tickets now available on Tilt: https://try.tilt.com/wilberforce

Trump; Brexit; ISIS; climate change. Any casual observer of the news can see how the world is being challenged by various political upheavals. Are they symptoms of a revolutionary transformation, or just a period of temporary malaise? Why have these challenges become globally prevalent, and what can be done about them? These are the sorts of questions we will be discussing in four separate panel events at the Conference.

Several panelists have been announced so far, including:
* Nigel Inkster – Former MI6 Head of Special Operations
* Lord Wood of Anfield – Chair of the United Nations Association UK and former Shadow Minister without Portfolio under Ed Miliband
* His Excellency Karwan Jamal Tahir – High Representative of Kurdistan
* Andrew Harrop – General Secretary of the Fabian Society
