Vienna PhD School of Informatics at Vienna University of Technology, Austria

The Faculty of Informatics at the Vienna University of Technology invites applicants from all countries to its “Vienna PhD School of Informatics”.

The Vienna PhD School of Informatics offers a three year program with an intense period of supervised study and research, culminating in the submission of a thesis. The PhD School’s curriculum covers the five main research areas of the Faculty of Informatics:

* Business Informatics;

* Computational Intelligence;

* Computer Engineering;

* Distributed and Parallel Systems; and

* Media Informatics and Visual Computing.

The application deadline for courses starting in October 2013 is May 26th, 2013.

Each year no more than 15 students will be admitted. A selection of the admitted students may receive a scholarship (subject to budgetary constraints). Female applicants are explicitly encouraged to apply. In case of equal qualifications, preference will be given to female candidates.
