Ents

St John's Ents

Hi, I’m Nat, and I’m your JCR ents officer. Please feel free to contact me at ns449@cam.ac.uk if you have any ideas for ents, or want to get involved in any way

The JCR puts on a variety of ents every term, including ents in the Fisher Building at the beginning and end of every term, smaller ents in the Boiler Room playing more alternative music, and showcasing student bands and DJs from across Cambridge, and open mic nights, where everyone from college is invited to get up and show off their talents. In addition to this, the JCR puts on a June Event on Suicide Sunday, in place of the last ent of Easter term, and an unforgettable freshers' week.

For the next term, we have a host of new entertainments prepared for you: from revamped open mic nights to joint events with other colleges, to special charity events - watch this space to find out more!

As well as the ents put on by the JCR, a host of other entertainments are offered at St. John's including Jazz@John's, John's Film Society, and of course the legendary May Ball (named 7th best party in the world by Time Magazine).

Ents Committee: If you’re interested in getting involved in the JCR, a good way to start is by joining to ents committee, the team which helps the JCR set up and run our ents. You’ll get bar trained by Bill Brogan, allowing you to work on the fisher building bar, and for your work will get free entry to ents and free drinks tokens.

If you want to join the ents committee, or have any questions, email Nat (ns449@cam.ac.uk)
