d) Hey Guys and Girls,

Finally LUX is ready for you to use!

As a group of students at Cambridge ourselves, we noticed loads of us were missing out on fantastic special offers, nights out, talks, seminars and hundreds of other opportunities in Cambridge because they were hard to find out about.

We set about creating a solution, a new website - www.luxcambridge.co.uk -. It's called LUX Cambridge. It's a place where you can find just about anything relating to life in Cambridge. LUX lets you discover new restaurants, bars and shops, view menus and make bookings. You can plan out a packed May Week or find out about the latest student run society to pop up.

We could tell you about the site forever...The best thing to do is to click the link below and see for yourself how simple, convenient and illuminating LUX can be.

e) HITCHCOCK BLONDE, Week Two CUADC Main Show, at the ADC Theatre.

We are looking for a cast of five talented stage actors, plus two actors for small filmed parts, to take part in HITCHCOCK BLONDE this Easter. HITCHCOCK BLONDE is a 2003 play written by award-winning director/playwright Terry Johnson; the play itself has been performed at the Royal Court Theatre, was shortlisted for the Laurence Olivier award for "Best New Play", and has since been performed in London's West End. Actors will need to be available for filming and publicity material throughout Week Seven, and for read-throughs and workshops during Week Eight of this term. The majority of rehearsal time will be at the beginning of Easter Term - stage actors (all except 1919 Blonde and Young Hitch) should ideally be free to return to Cambridge up to a week early, and to expect an intense period of full-day rehearsals before the official start of term.

Auditions will take the form of monologues, for which extracts will be left on the door. There will also be screen tests conducted for the parts of Blonde, 1919 Blonde, and Young Hitch.

Auditions will be held at the ADC Theatre, Dressing Room 2, at the following times: Saturday 27th February, 2-4pm Sunday 28th February, 10am-noon

Screen Tests will be held at the ADC Theatre, Larkum Studio, at the following times: Saturday 27th February, 2-3pm Sunday 28th February, 10-11am

Actors auditioning for the parts of Blonde, 1919 Blonde, and Young Hitch, must attend a screen test.

Please note that many of the actors must be comfortable to appear naked on stage. Details are listed below, according to the role.

Hitch: English, around sixty years old; world-famous director; obsessively controlling, emotionally distant, artistic intellectual; physically imposing.

Blonde: Working class American; East Coast accent; slim, late twenties; emotionally unsettled, unstable, depressive struggling actress; must be comfortable appearing topless, in briefs, on stage.

Alex: Wealthy East Coast American; controlling, self-obsessed, middle-of-the-road academic, with pretensions of greater self-importance; late forties; must be comfortable appearing naked on stage, for a couple of moments.

Jennifer: Working class American, West Coast; poor and troubled background; scholar at middle-ranking East Coast University; slim, attractive, early twenties; must be comfortable appearing topless, in briefs, on stage.

Husband: Largely non-speaking role; auditions will be in the form of stage directions; working class American, East Coast; late thirties; disengaged, distant, abusive; must be comfortable to appear in Y-fronts on stage.

Film Only Roles:

Young Hitch: Very small, non-speaking film role; around twenty years old; physically imposing.

1919 Blonde: Non-speaking film role; slim blonde in her twenties; must be comfortable appearing filmed naked, although the film itself will be cut to give the illusion of nakedness, rather than exposing the actor herself.

If you have trouble making these audition times, and would like to arrange an alternative, please email co-directors Emma Violet Makinson at evm26@cam.ac.uk, or Lydia Onyett at lkgo2@cam.ac.uk. We are also happy to send extracts in advance.
