St John's Films Presents:

An Education

I can now confirm that we will indeed be showing
An Education in place of The Informant
this Sunday at 7 and 10 pm.

We're very pleased indeed that we are now able to show this film,
particularly as it was nominated for 9 Baftas only last week,
including Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Actress for Carey Mulligan.

This is a charming coming-of-age tale, adapted from Lynn Barber's memoir,
about a teenage girl in 1960s suburban London. Bafta-nominated newcomer
Carey Mulligan stars as Jenny, a young woman full of promise and determined
to study English at Oxford. But a chance meeting with a playboy nearly
twice her age (Peter Sarsgaard) who promises glamour, sophistication and
trips to Paris, risks jeopardising her future. With an all star cast
including Alfred Molina, Emma Thompson and Olivia Williams, this is not one
to be missed.

Apologies again for the disappointment last weekend, and hope to see you on
Sunday night
