A note from the University Basketball team:

College basketball offers the opportunity to play sport in a low pressure, sociable environment. Whether you’ve never touched a basketball before in your life, or you’ve played for years, we want to provide a space where you can come down, learn some new skills and meet some great women and non-binary people.

A new system of College league competition has been established for the 2018-19 season, which will provide opportunities for player development in the Michaelmas term, and a 3×3 or 5×5 league in Lent term (this will depend on player numbers).

We will be running training sessions every Saturday of Michaelmas term from 9:45-11am at the Kelsey Kerridge Sports Centre, coached by players from the University Women’s teams. These are open to all women + non-binary students in Cambridge and we would like to encourage people who have never played before to come and give it a try. The sessions will have a small fee to cover the court rental, payable on site per session. We encourage all those coming down to play regularly to look into funding available in your college to support participation in sport.
