Our next talk of term is a must for materials scientists and physicists! Professor A. Lindsay Greer, Head of the School of Physical Sciences is coming to talk to us about transitions
between crystalline and glassy states: the aim is to show that these
are not only of fundamental scientific interest; they have important
practical applications in structures, medicine and information
technology. Free of charge, free wine and other refreshments available, all
colleges and disciplines welcome – bring your friends, the more the
merrier! This will be in the Castlereagh Room, the Fisher Building at 6pm on Wednesday 9th November – check out our Facebook event here.
